Rehabilitation and Welfare release
The Hellenic Bear Register has established a unique rehabilitation and welfare release program for orphan brown bears.
This program takes place at the Brown Bear Rehabilitation Centre of ARCTUROS in northern Greece. Following a unique protocol we have released nine bear cubs back to the wild.
In 2019, for the first time, our team rehabilitated bear cubs from another country, Bulgaria! These animals were released back to the wild in their country of origin.
